nd of The Road? Is the death of the father necessary to illustrate the point of the cruel society they find themselves in? If so why? If not how would you have changed the ending? Next what was your opinion of the story as a whole, including the bizarre diction of McCarthy( included examples). Finally what is the significance of the little boy leaving his fathers body and going off with total strangers? How does this also help to show the difference between their world and ours?
