The struggle for Survival: Conflict and Creativity would be the theme I would choose.
In today's world, there is a struggle for survival, and in the book there is too. Obviously they are differant, but is the book written to mock the way of life and the struggle put forth in meeting ends meat for the present?
There is a plethora of possible themes in The Road. I think the theme of Man vs. Nature is the main theme. I think this because it’s all about a father and son trying to survive in a post apocalypse world. So they need to face the harsh realities and problems of the world to survive. This is my reasoning for the main theme being Man vs. Nature.
The Struggle for Survival: Conflict and Creativity would be the theme that would most likely be applied to The Road. The father and his son struggle to survive in this apocolyptic world by searching from house to house looking for anything that would be useful to them. Starvation is one problem they come across but other people on the road threaten their lives as well. This entire novel is about a father and his son struggling to survive in a world that has been ruined.

The Struggle to Survival: Conflict and Creativity. This is the most fitting for the book. It's the most fitting for the book for many reasons its the most fitting because for the first 75 pages of the book it's mostly about how the two try to survive and find ways to find food, and shelter constintly. Strugle and Survival is the best and most fitting.

The theme I believe which the author expresses throughout the book is "The Struggle for Survival: Conflict and Creativity" because that is what the book is about "The struggle for survival. Throughout the novel the boy and his father are constantly searching for food, water and gas to get around.

So far the theme of the books seems to be The Struggle for Survival: Conflict and Creativity. As of right now the book is all about survival. The boy and his father are doing anything they can to survive, whether it is searching through garbage and old belongings or killing people. They cannot trust anybody. The boy and his father are dealing with external conflicts like keeping warm and finding food and staying alive but they are also dealing with internal conflicts. They only have each other and no one else. Why are they still trying, why not just give up? The father is staying alive so he can take care of his son and the son is so young that he would not even think about killing himself. This cycle seems to be the will power to keep them going.

I believe the road has a couple different themes. However, if I had to choose one I believe it is “The struggle for survival: Conflict and Creativity.” In this novel, the father and son struggle to survive. They are constantly looking for warmth, food, and shelter. This theme fits the book the best because everyday is some sort of different challenge for these two to overcome.

I believe that "The Struggle for Survival: Conflict and Creativity" is the main theme for the book. i beliee this because for the first many pages of the books shows the struggle the boy and his father go through for survival. For example when they run into an abandoned barn and hope that they will find something in there like corn, just so they can have something to eat because food and their shoes were their main worry.

I believe that this book is more of a story then a "novel". I’m not saying it wasn't good, but in a way too short to convey a truly deep point. I do not mean too short length wise; however, I find it to be lacking in substance. If the book were a taco it would have all of the fixings, but none of that succulent pan-fried muscle tissue. (I'm sorry it’s almost lunch time and I'm fat so...)
I find it hard, for me to reach into this jumble of words and try to grasp at the few themes this book might have.
I believe that the most likely theme to The Road would have to be “The Struggle for Survival: Conflict and Creativity.” I believe this is because the man in the novel has to survive, not only for himself, but for the boy as well. If the man doesn’t try to go on, and doesn’t think of different ways to survive, then not only himself, but the boy loses his life. The boy looks up to him with hopeful eyes, and says, “What would you do if I died?” and I feel that the man knows then, that they were meant to live and go on to live the rest of their lives. One creative thing that the man did to help them survive was when he got, I believe it was motor oil not sure though, also he has a cart, but he attached a motorcycle mirror to it so he could see behind himself.

I think the theme revolves more so around like father like son. The father is fully dependent on the son for survival like the son is to the father.
The way they need each other has a lot of parallels such as they need each other for company but there are many differences. The son needs the father to show him the way and to protect him. The father needs the son to keep his will alive. i feel the father would have killed himself if it was not for the son.
The theme I find most important is the struggle for survival: conflict and creativity. The whole book is based on the idea or surivial and not giving up in your search to live. This theme is also very important because the father needs to stay alive to help his son and give him hope.

The struggle for survival: Conflict and Creativity is the most fitting theme for the book because it is an everday theme for the charcters, waking up and figuring out how they are going to survive, and how they are going to continue too survive in such a desolate world, and dark lifestyle.

I think the theme "The Struggle for Survival: Conflict and Creativity" would be good for the book.
The road is like a desolate path of destruction, where the chance of survival is very slim because there are limited food supplies, and shelter. So there for you have to struggle to survive, like in our world today.
I beleive that the main theme of The Road is The Struggle for Survival: Conflict and Creativity. It is relevant that in the first 75 pages that the father and his son are under pressure to survive. They must find food and shelter which is another responsibility to burden the father. The road is only going to get longer and harder for the father and his son and there survival skills will be tested.
