Food is one of the most basic necessities of life. To sustain oneself is a universal need that all must meet in order to survive. But what if there was nothing to eat... that is except each other? How would you handle yourself in a world like this? Would you starve and yourself be eaten? Would you try to find your food and live off what little scraps you could obtain? Or would you do the unthinkable, throw away your morals and values and become a monster that in our society is despised? In a world where it's kill or be killed could you do it, are you strong enough, are you insane enough, but the real question becomes are you hungry enough?

I would do what I needed to do in order to survive. But when it comes to eating another human being would take some thought. In the end I would, because its be or be killed in a world like "The Road" and I will not be killed. I wouldn't eat someone I knew and I wouldn't eat it raw either, I'd roast it over a fire and slap some sauce on it ... if there was any.
When it comes to situations like this only one instance comes to my mind, the donner party. They were trapped and had to eat so they layed down rules, like mike above, and did what they had to to survive. When dealing with matter of morals everyone is different from another person and some will do things others wouldn't. in this case I would have to say I would eat another person but would try to avoid killing others just to eat them. So in the purpose of survival I would do it.
In certain circumstances where there is a scarce amount of food as shown in The Road, I would not succumb to cannibalism. The father and his son did the same and they managed to survive off the little scraps of food they gathered from the landscape around them. Eating other people to survive another day in an apocalyptic world isn’t worth it to me.

In the novel, “The Road”, everyone in the book is starving. Some are so hungry that they do the unthinkable and turn to cannibalism. I personally would never ever eat another human. I think that is horrible and I think it is totally disrespectful. If I was starving I would try to scrap together the very little food I could get my hands on. If there was no food and it came down to eating a human, I would put a bullet in my brain before even thinking of eating a human.

Being in this situation is a very difficult situation. Family or not family it is something that no one could every moraly face. If it is the last thing on earth to eat and you need it to stay alive i would not be able to do it. If my son needed it to survive and i was going to die i still wouldn't. Because my son would probally not survive without me anyway. He would only be alive for a few more days without me. I would not drop my morals and become the monster and do the worst and eat someone.

When it come to eating another person would I? The awnser is I wouldn't kill the person and then eat them. They would have to be already dead. The fact is there already gone and I still have a chance, but when you take someone's chance to survive your taking their life.

Never in my life would I ever eat a human body. It is wrong to me in every way and it doesn’t make sense to me either. The unthinkable in this situation is still out of the question and is too severe. Situations like this usually take time and consideration, but in my case I know my answer right away, and that is a definite no.

I honestly don’t know how I would handle myself in this world. I would not want to starve or eat another person. I would defiantly try to find food and live off whatever I had left. I would try to find food in random places. It is hard for one to honestly answer this prompt because none of us have ever been placed in this situation. I mean yes we could say one thing today but if this were to happen we would most likely throw away our morals and values and become a cannibal. So yes I probably would say no now but if it came down to it I would eat another person. And yes if it was a world where it's kill or be killed could you do it, are you strong enough, are you insane enough I would do it to survive. Adam Hart
If i lived in a world with no food i think i would have to eat other human beings. First of all i would look and search for all the little scraps i could find and eat those first. Then if it came down to it i would eat others. I would not eat anyone i knew but i would eat those i didnt know. I guess you could consider me a monster, i would do anything to survive, i would not go out and kill people though. I would wait until they died on their own. If i was hungry enough i would most definitely do this.

I do not believe I can actually say what I would do in a situation like this. I believe I would not eat anyone and try to find food and live off of that, I would rather have people eat me. I think it is wrong and disgusting to eat another human being. However I say I wouldn't eat anyone but put in this situation I cant really say I know exactly what I would do.

In a world that "The Road" takes place there is little amounts of food n clean drinking water. I as a human being would eat everything possible until it came down to turning into a cannibal, and turning on my own kind. I would not feel like a monster in that situation or society because animals eat each other, just because humans are more advanced doesn't mean cannibalism should be frowned upon in a world like "The Road".
I believe that eating another human shows a great deal of disrespect to that person and their character. I would never resort to eating another human being because I couldn’t handle cutting them apart or cooking them. If I didn’t know what it was and someone served it to me I bet I wouldn’t even tell but it is still disgusting and I would never kill and eat a person. Even if I had to eat a human I wouldn’t know were to start, how do you eat a human? I wouldn’t know what to eat and what not to.

If I was on the road and had no other choice but to eat people or starve I think at first I would be skeptic to eat another human being, but I would eventually convince myself mentally to eat another person. I think it would be so difficult to grasp the concept of eating another person that it would take me until i was desperate to eat anything other than ordinary.
I would never eat another human. I would eat grass and dirt before eating another person. I physically could not eat someone. I would die before I had to eat people.
